Siddharth Nigam To Star In Ekta Kapoor’s Chandra Nandini BUT…

A few days back, there was buzz that Ekta Kapoor’s show, Chandra Nandini starring Rajat Tokas and Shweta Basu in lead roles, is set to go off air. And then the makers announced a leap of 20 years and a new track.

With the leap, Ekta Kapoor has brought TV show Asoka fame actor, Siddharth Nigam on board to play Chandra’s (Rajat Tokas) son Bindusara’s grown-up role.

Well yes, Siddharth Nigam, who is known for his roles in Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3, Maha Kumbh, Chakravarthin Ashoka Samrat and his dancing stint in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, will join Rajat Tokas and Shweta Basu Prasad in Chadra Nandini.

However, SpotboyE.com has learnt that this is only for a brief period as Chandra Nandini will soon go off-air. The makers of the show have decided to introduce the 20 years leap only to head toward the show’s climax.

A close source informed SpotboyE.com that the channel and the production was in a deep debate regarding the end of the show. History has it that Chandra and Nandini never had a love story but the show has now reached a track where the two characters are shown falling in love. While the channel wants the show to stick to the facts and end on a negative track, where Chandra and Nandini part ways, the production house wanted to give it a romantic end.

However, with this leap, the final climax will have Chandra and Nandini walking different paths.

So, for all those who thought the leap and Siddharth Nigam’s introduction to the show would mean a longer run of Chandra Nandini on Television, sorry for the disappointment!
